Manarola, Italy

....our new home

all seasons in one day

We left Riomaggiore yesterday with sadness at leaving a wonderful place and village but excitement for what lay ahead......we just didn't know exactly what would lie ahead. Turns out we almost did not get out of Riomaggiore after Nancy got herself locked in the bathroom at a cafe by the train station.

Here is Nancy in her prison at the cafe at the Riomaggiore train station.......

We met four Canadian women touring France and Italy and seeming to be having a blast. Here they are Judy, Judy, Janice and........oops sorry three out of four isn't too bad. Met them in Riomaggiore and again in Manarola.

Definitely not my day for techie things....received an email this morning purportedly from CIBC saying they had noted irregularities on my account and I need to send them certain information as they had limited my account. I knew the email had to be a fraud but tried ATM and could not access. Finally did get some money on my VISA. Checked with CIBC. Email is bogus. They see no block on my account so will have to see what happens. May be in a debtors prison soon and unable to return home......

Hello! Came across your wonderful blog while trying to find out more info on the recovery of Cinque Terre. Specifically on whether the full trail along the coast from Monterosso to Riomaggiore is open. My husband and I are traveling to Italy from the US the second week of May. Your photos are breathtaking! And it sure sounds like you are having a fabulous time! I can't wait to see it in person soon. If you have any information regarding the CT trails, please let us know if you can. Many thanks! Ciao, Lynne
